Waterfalls in Upstate New York

It's less crowded than some of the more famous spots, which can be a real plus when you want some quiet time with your dog. Make sure to check local regulations for specific leash requirements, but generally, a leash is a must. After all that hiking, a good dog park is essential, and the New Paltz area has some great options. We found a fantastic local dog park where Kobe could really stretch his legs off-leash in a safe, fenced environment. These parks are lifesavers for energetic pups after long car rides or leashed hikes. It’s also a great way for them to socialize and burn off any remaining energy. Always double-check the park's rules before entering, like vaccination requirements and ensuring your dog is well-behaved around others. Having a dedicated space for them to run freely makes such a difference in their overall enjoyment of the trip. Exploring Upstate NY with Kobe has been nothing short of amazing.
