This place truly lives up to its hype as a paradise, especially if you're looking for the ultimate honeymoon escape. I was absolutely blown away by everything, from the moment we arrived to our bittersweet departure. The highlight, without a doubt, was our Overwater Bungalow. Seriously, nothing compares to waking up to the sound of gentle waves and stepping out onto your private deck to see the crystal-clear turquoise waters of BORA BORA stretching out before you. Each bungalow felt so private and luxurious. I loved being able to jump directly into the lagoon for a swim whenever I wanted, or just relax on the deck with a book, watching the colorful fish swim by beneath us through the glass-bottom coffee table. The bungalows are so thoughtfully designed, blending traditional Polynesian charm with modern comforts. The spacious bathroom with its deep soaking tub was a dream after a day in the sun! For honeymooners, this resort is pure magic. We enjoyed several romantic dinners, including a private one set up right on our bungalow's deck under the stars – an absolute must-do! The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel so special throughout our stay, always going the extra mile. We also took advantage of some of the couple-focused activities, like a sunset cruise that offered breathtaking views of Mount Otemanu, and a Polynesian cooking class where we learned to make some delicious local dishes. Beyond our bungalow, the resort itself offers a fantastic array of amenities. The main beach area is stunning, perfect for lounging or trying out some watersports like paddleboarding or kayaking. We explored the beautiful coral gardens right off the resort, which were teeming with marine life, making for some incredible snorkeling. Dining options were excellent too; I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood and the vibrant breakfast buffet each morning. Don't miss trying the local fruit juices! A few tips for anyone planning a trip: definitely book your excursions in advance, especially if you have your heart set on specific activities like a shark and ray feeding tour or a visit to the main island. Also, consider the all-inclusive package if you plan on dining mostly at the resort, as food and drinks can add up quickly. And honestly, just pack light – swimsuits, cover-ups, and something nice for dinner are really all you need. You'll spend most of your time enjoying the water and the incredible views. My stay at the InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora wasn't just a vacation; it was an experience that created memories I'll cherish forever. If you're dreaming of a postcard-perfect getaway, especially for a special occasion like a honeymoon, I wholeheartedly recommend this slice of paradise. You won't regret it!
