... Read moreIn my experience, friendships can be as rewarding as they are challenging. While it’s natural to forgive minor mistakes or bad moods, there are certain boundaries that, when crossed, are tough to overlook. For me, honesty is crucial—when a friend lies or spreads my personal business, it feels like a breach of trust that’s hard to repair. I’ve also noticed that actions like trying to embarrass me publicly or talking to someone I’m dating are serious red flags. These behaviors make me feel disrespected and can lead to cutting ties. However, I also believe in giving people grace for small disagreements or bad days since nobody is perfect. Especially considering the ups and downs everyone faces, it’s important not to end friendships over minor conflicts. I’ve found that communication helps—discussing issues openly often prevents misunderstandings from escalating. That said, when it comes to 'evil activities' or intentional harm, my patience runs out. I learned that maintaining healthy friendships means setting clear boundaries and not tolerating behaviors that hurt your well-being. It’s okay to prioritize your mental and emotional health by stepping away from toxic relationships. Overall, I think forgiveness depends on the severity of the action and the willingness of both friends to rebuild trust.
