Loaded Taco Bell Fries
set out to make super potato Ole’s but couldn’t find the tator crowns at Aldi and was in zero mood to try another store.
So here’s my Taco Bell Loaded fries.
Everything is cooked on the griddle.
Prep: about an hour before the cook I took two bags of seasoned fries and placed them on the counter to thaw out.
In the meantime I put some Gordon’s cheese dip in a meatloaf foil pan and I took a can of refried beans and put them in their own pan.
Dice up two jalapenos (one for cooking one for topping)
The cook:
On a 4 burner Blackstone I turned on 3 of the burners to low.
On the active burners I started with some bacon up then spread out the fries to let those start cooking on the off burner I put the pans with cheese sauce and beans to start warming up making sure to stir occasionally.
I then put down some of the jalepeno to start cooking and added 2lbs of ground beef. I used Kinders Taco Blend but any taco seasoning will work.
Once everything is cooked it’s time to build.
Start with the fries on the bottom then pile on the meat , beans , cheese sauce, raw jalapeno, shredded cheese, sour cream and guac plus whatever else you like.

Loaded Taco Bell Fries have become a popular and indulgent comfort food option that combines crispy seasoned fries with classic Mexican-inspired toppings. This homemade version lets you enjoy the rich flavors of Taco Bell’s famous loaded fries without leaving your home. Using a griddle or a multi-burner cooking surface such as a Blackstone allows you to efficiently cook all components simultaneously, ensuring even cooking and maximum flavor infusion. Start by thawing seasoned fries to get a crisp exterior when cooked, then warm up refried beans and cheese sauce separately so they’re creamy and hot when layered. Ground beef seasoned with a taco blend adds savory protein, and bacon adds a smoky depth. Adding diced jalapenos, both cooked and fresh for topping, balances the richness with a touch of heat and freshness. Layering is key: crispy fries form the base, topped with the seasoned beef, refried beans, cheese sauce, raw jalapenos, shredded cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. This assembly mimics the textures and tastes of Taco Bell’s loaded fries but with improved freshness and customizable ingredients. For those who love experimenting, you can customize by adding other favorites like diced tomatoes, green onions, or olives. This dish is versatile for game day snacks, casual dinners, or any social gathering where a shareable, crowd-pleasing dish is appreciated. Additionally, cooking on a griddle not only simplifies meal prep but also imparts a satisfying char and crispy texture to the fries and bacon. Utilizing prepared cheese sauces like Gordon’s cheese dip enhances the authentic taste while saving time. This homemade method not only replicates the popular Taco Bell Loaded Fries but allows for greater control over ingredients, portion size, and freshness, making it a delicious alternative that is easy to prepare and enjoy any day of the week.
