... Read moreI recently tried making these sugar-free oatmeal cookies with walnuts and raisins, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and delicious they turned out. Using mashed ripe banana as a natural sweetener is a fantastic tip—it adds moisture and sweetness without any added sugar, making the cookies perfect for those watching their sugar intake. The cinnamon and vanilla essence give a warm and inviting aroma that fills the kitchen while baking. One trick I found helpful is to slightly toast the walnuts in a dry pan before adding them to the dough. This enhances their nutty flavor and adds a pleasant crunch to the cookies. Also, when shaping the cookie dough on the baking sheet, I found that flattening the dough discs a little thinner helped the cookies bake evenly and achieve a nice golden edge. These cookies make a great on-the-go snack or a nutritious treat alongside tea or coffee. Plus, the combination of oats, nuts, and raisins ensures a good mix of fiber and natural sweetness, which keeps energy levels steady. If you want to change things up, you could substitute raisins for dried cranberries or cherries, or add a handful of dark chocolate chips for a touch of indulgence while keeping the sugar low. Overall, this recipe is excellent for anyone looking for a quick, wholesome baking project that yields tasty, guilt-free cookies without refined sugar. Give it a try, and you might find it becoming one of your favorite healthy snack recipes.
