Read moreZiplining in Costa Rica is often promoted as an exhilarating way to experience the lush rainforests and breathtaking scenery, but it’s not always for the faint of heart or those less accustomed to outdoor adventures. From my personal experience, while the views and the rush of flying through the air are unforgettable, the physical demands and adrenaline can be overwhelming, especially if you’re not naturally outdoorsy. The terrain and weather in Costa Rica can add an extra layer of challenge. The heat, humidity, and sometimes slippery platforms require a good level of fitness and mental preparedness. I found myself unprepared for how intense and gripping the entire experience was, which ultimately led to my decision to not do it again. For anyone considering a zipline tour in Costa Rica, I recommend doing some preparation beforehand—both mentally and physically. Wearing appropriate gear, staying hydrated, and picking a reputable tour company with strong safety reviews are essential steps. If you tend to feel uneasy with heights or vigorous activities, it’s okay to skip this and enjoy Costa Rica’s other amazing offerings like its beaches, wildlife tours, or cultural experiences. In the end, my ziplining adventure was definitely a memorable one-time experience. Surviving it felt like an accomplishment, but I realized that sometimes, knowing what doesn’t suit you is just as valuable as trying new things. If you’re curious about ziplining, go for it, but if it’s not your vibe, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy Costa Rica’s vibrant beauty and charm.
