✨ Sketchbook 1, Part 2 :)
One of my goals is to be able to draw people without having to fully rely on a picture and without using a grid. My family portrait was with a grid, but the proportions were still sooo off and then I was relying too much on the grid for help. I practiced more with using different techniques and my faces are starting to come along!
Also - I have a dream of painting the most beautiful, whimsical clouds, and they are never as whimsy as what I’m going for 😭
In my sketchbook, I often experiment with various mediums, particularly focusing on oil pastels and pencils to create vivid artworks. My latest attempts involve practicing two-point perspective, which adds depth to my drawings. While I love the details in my mushroom sketches, I sometimes struggle to maintain consistency, leading to some funny mishaps with stray pastel marks. My aim is to evolve my skills further, especially in portrait drawings and capturing emotions. Faces, in particular, require constant practice to get the proportions right, and every attempt feels like a step closer to my goal. I also enjoy exploring different themes, like seasonal changes in my artwork, reflecting my playful side through festive pieces. As I continue this journey, I invite fellow art enthusiasts to share tips and techniques.
