Wicked: For Good is officially released!! We had a fun little moment with Popular last weekend, and this weekend…we’re slowing it down a little. I know I know, these two are both from the first act, but ya girl is too tired from traveling to whip out No Good Deed right now; maybe later…when I have a chance to sleep…😅 and I WOULD like to sing For Good at some point…I just love this musical. Anyway, enjoy some Elphaba feels x

Thanks as always to the lovely Zack @zachary.p.smith on guitar 🩵

If you’re a fan of musical theatre, especially the iconic show Wicked, then you’ll appreciate the genuine emotion conveyed in this acoustic rendition of "I'm Not That Girl." This song, originally performed by the character Elphaba in the first act of Wicked, expresses vulnerability and unrequited love, themes that resonate deeply with audiences. Performing such a well-loved song in an unplugged, intimate setting like "Singin’ on the Steps" brings a fresh and personal touch to the music. Acoustic covers strip down complex orchestrations to raw vocals and simple guitar, which highlights the singer’s vocal nuances and emotional connection to the song. This particular cover not only celebrates the artistry of Wicked’s score, but also spotlights the collaboration with guitarist Zack @zachary.p.smith, whose delicate guitar work complements the vocals beautifully.
