Theme: having a intimate relationship with

El Shaddai is that intimate place where all of us need to be with El Shaddai it’s the only way to get to know Him. That’s how we know we have eternal life.

Biblical intimacy is. Into me see El Shaddai what only you can change.

John 17:3

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

Definition of Eternal Life: Eternal life isn't just duration but a quality of life found in an intimate, relational knowledge (Greek: ginosko) of the Father and the Son.

Affirmation of Deity: While distinguishing the Father as the ultimate source, the passage affirms Yahweh' divinity, as He shares in this eternal knowledge and power, a concept the Gospel of John consistently presents (John 1:1-4).

Divine story time.

The context shows Yahweh praying for His followers, affirming the Father as the sole true El Shaddai while simultaneously affirming His own divine connection and role in revealing the Father, establishing the foundation of Christ-ian faith.

1 John 2:3 The Voice

We know we have joined Him in an intimate relationship because we live out His commands.

Apostle John is affectionately addressing this letter to his “little children,” and he is writing to help them avoid sin and the pain and guilt that come with it. The glamour of decadent lifestyles devoid of El Shaddai is often advertised as the epitome of joy and freedom. But what are often conveniently left out of these portrayals are the agonizing consequences of such destructive lifestyles. Meaningful pleasure comes not when we are enslaved by the empty promises of the world, but when we are living in loving obedience to

El Shaddai.

An intimate relationship with El Shaddai is a deeply personal, experiential connection characterized by consistent communication, trust, and loving obedience. It involves walking with Him daily, treating Him as a close friend which transforms a person's inner life and overflows into selfless love for others. This bond is cultivated through prayer, meditation and application of scripture and seeking His presence daily.

Key aspects of an intimate relationship with

El Shaddai include:

Deep Personal Connection: Moving beyond just knowing about Jesus (factual knowledge) to knowing Him personally (ginosco—experiential, relational knowledge). It is an, "inner, private" relationship that often deeply personal to the individual.

Constant Conversation and Prayer: Intimacy involves obeying talking with Him throughout the day, pouring out one's heart, and sharing intimate thoughts, and desires.

Loving Obedience: True intimacy with El Shaddai is defined by submitting to His authority and following His commands. This obedience stems from a heart changed by grace, not just from obligation.

Abiding in His Presence: Actively seeking to recognize His presence and guidance in daily life. It is described as "leaning into" His heart, listening to Him, and allowing His life to take root in one's spiritual heart’s our mind.

Reflection of Character: A close relationship leads to being transformed into His image, which causes one to act with His love, mercy, and compassion toward others.

Surrender and Trust: Giving El Shaddai control of one's life our life is our souls, and relying on Him for comfort and guidance.

This relationship is not based on rigid, external rituals, but rather on an authentic heart-felt connection.

From my own journey, I’ve found that this connection thrives when we move from simply knowing about God to truly knowing Him in a personal and experiential way. This means engaging in constant conversation with El Shaddai—sharing your deepest thoughts, struggles, and joys in prayer throughout the day, much like you would with a trusted friend. One aspect that profoundly impacted me was embracing loving obedience, not out of obligation but as a natural response to a heart changed by grace. When you begin to listen and follow His guidance, you notice His presence influencing your decisions, thoughts, and interactions with others. Abiding in His presence is another cornerstone. It involves intentionally seeking moments of stillness to hear His voice and allow His love to take root deeply in your heart and mind. This kind of spiritual rootedness helps cultivate patience, compassion, and mercy—qualities that become visible reflections of El Shaddai’s character in your life. Furthermore, surrender and trust are essential. Handing over control of your life to El Shaddai provides comfort and strength, especially during challenging times. I've personally experienced how relying on Him transforms uncertainty and fear into peace and assurance. In essence, biblical intimacy with El Shaddai nurtures an authentic, heartfelt connection that enriches every aspect of life. It’s a journey marked by daily commitment, prayerful meditation on scripture, and the ongoing transformation into Christ-like love that impacts not only oneself but also the wider community.
