POV: Church Creative on Sundays
Come with me as I share more about myself. 📹
Most people don’t know all that I do. And as an entrepreneur, sometimes it’s hard to explain. So I figured I’d show and not tell.
This is how I spend my Sunday mornings…
Sure, I could spend it sleeping in.
But there’s something special about heading to my home church to serve, whether it’s on the worship team, creative team, or both.
This Sunday though, hit different. I needed the worship led by my friends. And I needed the “PSA” that Tommy Nixon preached.
“Practice being present
Sincerity in your posture
Always face the pain”
You’ll have to listen or watch it this week! Hit me up and I’ll share where you can find it.

My Sunday mornings as a church creative are truly a highlight of my week, a sacred rhythm I wouldn't trade for anything. While many might enjoy sleeping in, there’s a unique energy that comes from rising early, grabbing a coffee, and heading to church knowing I get to contribute to something bigger than myself. It’s not just about setting up gear or running slides; it’s about creating an atmosphere where people can connect with their faith and with each other. The worship part, especially, is where I often feel the most recharge. There’s something incredibly powerful when the music swells, and everyone is singing together, truly lost in the moment. It’s an experience that transcends words, a vibrant outpouring of spirit that cleanses and lifts. I’ve found that whether it's a quiet reflection or an energetic, heartfelt praise, being fully present in worship allows me to let go of the week's stresses and connect deeply with my spiritual side. It’s in these moments that I feel completely renewed and ready to face anything. Beyond the lights and sound, it’s the sense of community that truly makes church feel like a second home. It's like having a spiritual family, a place where friends become your chosen support system. There's a special bond forged when you serve alongside people who share your passion and faith. We’re all in it together, supporting each other, celebrating victories, and offering comfort during tough times. This communal spirit, this feeling of belonging to a shared spiritual house, makes every Sunday morning incredibly special and deeply personal. It’s where I feel seen, heard, and understood. And then there’s the sermon. This past Sunday, the message about 'Practice being present, Sincerity in your posture, Always face the pain' resonated so deeply with me. It’s a powerful reminder to approach life with intention and honesty. It's easy to get caught up in distractions, but being present allows us to truly experience life. And facing the pain? That's about confronting challenges head-on, knowing that growth often comes from uncomfortable places. These aren't just words; they're actionable insights that I carry with me throughout the week, helping me navigate my entrepreneurial journey and personal life with more grace and resilience. If you’ve ever considered getting involved in your church’s creative team or just want to deepen your spiritual practice, I highly recommend it. It's not about being perfect; it's about showing up, being willing to serve, and allowing yourself to be part of something meaningful. Every Sunday, I leave feeling inspired, motivated, and connected, ready to tackle the week ahead with a renewed sense of purpose.
I love it! Looks so much fun, and most definitely gotta get that coffee in the morning lol
