I’m living proof that it’s never too late!
📚✨ Today marks Day ONE of Week FOUR of my Social Problems class in my Biblical Studies degree program and I’m still holding on to an A! 🙌🏾💯
I’m not gonna lie….balancing school, work, family, marriage, and business hasn’t been easy. But this right here is proof that God’s grace + discipline + determination = RESULTS. 💜
Sometimes we think it’s “too late” to go back to school, chase that degree, or follow through on the calling God placed on our hearts. But I’m living proof that it’s never too late and you really CAN do it all with His strength. 🙏🏾
So today, I’m giving myself permission to CELEBRATE this win…and to keep pressing forward.
Here’s to week 4, still standing strong, and one step closer to Future Dr. Michelle Fields-Simmons. 👩🏾🎓✨

Balancing the demands of school alongside work, family, and personal commitments can feel overwhelming, yet it is entirely possible with the right mindset and support system. Many non-traditional students face unique challenges, such as returning to education later in life, that require faith, discipline, and resilience. Achieving academic excellence in demanding courses like Social Problems often necessitates effective time management strategies and prioritizing both mental and physical wellness. For those motivated by a calling or personal goal, such as completing a Biblical Studies degree, the journey can be deeply rewarding. Staying focused on long-term objectives and celebrating small milestones, like maintaining an A grade while moving through weekly coursework, not only builds confidence but also reinforces commitment. Utilizing a combination of spiritual strength and practical approaches can empower students to overcome fear and doubt. Engaging with supportive communities — whether faith-based groups, academic forums, or peer networks — adds encouragement and accountability. Current student experiences highlight that with God’s grace, determination, and disciplined effort, it’s feasible to pursue education no matter your stage in life. In practical terms, breaking down the syllabus into manageable sections, such as topics on socio-political engagement or social movements, helps scaffold learning and track progress. Reflecting on achievements and remaining adaptable enables continued growth despite the complexities of managing multiple life roles. Ultimately, living proof like this journey affirms that personal development and academic success are attainable simultaneously. Taking time to acknowledge progress and maintaining faith-infused focus paves the way toward future accomplishments, including advanced degrees and fulfilling one's true calling.
