Whew… let me brag on this man for a second. ❤️

Whew… let me brag on this man for a second. ❤️

He has loved me almost 20 years straight … through every version, every chapter, every era of Michelle.

For the first 18 years of our relationship, my weight never went above 125 lbs. I was snatched without even trying. Then I hit 40, and baby… everything changed. Hormones shifted, life shifted, stress shifted, and the pounds started stacking on like

“hey girl, we live here now.” 🙃

And here’s the part that gets me emotional every time:

Not once … not ONCE … has my husband ever made me feel less than.

Not once has he teased, hinted, or made a comment to hurt me.

Even on the days I struggled with my reflection… even when I felt shame or frustration in my own skin…

This man still wrapped his arms around me like I was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen.

He embraces every curve, every stretch mark, every soft place, every area I call “flawed.” He loves me deeply, consistently, patiently … even when I’m still learning how to love this new version of myself.

And that kind of love?

That’s rare.

That’s sacred.

That’s God’s grace in human form. ❤️

So here’s to growth, healing, hormones doing the most, and husbands who love you through every season … even the ones you’re still adjusting to.

Almost 20 years later…

he still chooses me. Every. Single. Day. 🥹✨

Hormonal fluctuations, stress, and aging often contribute to shifts in body weight and appearance. The journey shared here highlights the emotional impact that these physical changes can have on self-image and confidence. In long-term relationships, love that endures through such transformations is truly precious. It’s common for individuals to feel vulnerable or less confident when their bodies change, but having a partner who offers unconditional support and acceptance can make all the difference. This kind of love promotes healing and growth, encouraging self-love even when adjusting to a new version of oneself. The referenced timeline showing weight at various years of marriage ( for example: 1 year married at 120 lbs, almost 13 years married at 165 lbs, and 11 years married at 125 lbs) demonstrates not just physical changes but the couple’s ongoing commitment despite these fluctuations. It’s a powerful reminder that relationships thrive on patience, respect, and empathy rather than physical perfection. For many, embracing stretch marks, curves, and softness is part of learning to love their bodies authentically. Partners who recognize and cherish these aspects foster a nurturing environment that transcends superficial standards. This sacred form of love, described as ‘God’s grace in human form,’ underlines the spiritual and emotional depths of lasting relationships. Ultimately, stories like these inspire others to appreciate and celebrate their own journeys with self-acceptance and to value partners who choose them unconditionally day after day. It also emphasizes how couples can grow stronger, supporting each other through hormones doing the most, life’s ups and downs, and personal evolution.
