Replying to @RoxTalks well, plot twist…
As a girl who rarely gets emotional *except when I’m playing a character who is emotional or going through something* the meltdown was REAL. And so unexpected.
I haven’t had a meltdown like this since 2021. It happened when I moved somewhere in LA, but I REALLLY wanted to be living at the high-rise (the one I’m currently living at and have been happy living at since 2021) instead… I tried to push past my feelings and I didn’t even last a week there. Then a MIRACLE happened and I got to move into my current high rise (that video explanation is being posted here shortly) and I’ve loved it here ever since. No crash outs 😂
Also, my home is where I spend 99% of my time because I work from home and do interior design/home content, so it’s more than just somewhere I sleep! It’s where majority of my life takes place. It’s my sanctuary…
So this journey of finding a place to call “home” after the whole business situation happened (details here
@Michelle Henderson) has not been easy! I’ve toured many places, applied to a few, signed 2 leases, and things have shifted sooo much 😅🫠 I’m glad I’m finally documenting this in real-time, BUT it’s also filled with so many plot twists happening!
I’ll update you on what happened in part 4, but my gosh… life is unpredictable, isn’t it?!

Moving to a new home can be an intense and emotional experience, especially when the place you're living is more than just a roof over your head. For those working from home or engaged in creative fields like interior design, their living space becomes a sanctuary where most of their life unfolds. Many people find that the process of finding the right home involves multiple tours, applications, and sometimes signing leases more than once as circumstances evolve. The emotional toll of relocating is not uncommon. Just like the author, individuals can face emotional meltdowns due to uncertainty, stress, or feeling out of place initially. However, setting up a new home begins the healing and excitement phase: measuring spaces carefully, planning furniture placement according to measurements, and personalizing the space to evoke comfort and safety. In new apartments, cleanliness and safety are paramount. It’s important to check that professional cleaners have addressed potential issues thoroughly, such as lingering dirt or mold under floors. Using air purifiers, trusted room sprays, and taking time to tidy up can help transform an unfamiliar location into a welcoming home. Documenting the moving journey in real-time offers insights and encouragement to others experiencing similar situations. It reveals that life’s unpredictability, filled with plot twists, can still lead to finding joy in a new place. For those managing the stress of relocation or balancing a heavy workload from home, embracing small rituals—like preparing your favorite room or organizing your workspace—can make a significant difference. If you’re navigating a moving journey, remember: it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Seek support from friends or online communities focused on home diaries or moving experiences. Embrace the process as a meaningful transition into a space where you can thrive professionally and personally.
