After Holiday House Refresh
We keep our tree up until Little Christmas (usually the 6th) - my boyfriend is doing a boy's trip with his Dad (they do this every year) so I'll have a few days to clean up Christmas and spend time with my mom.
I have to write things down or I'll literally forget, especially the little details.
Anyone else still catching up from the holiday festivities?

After the festive season, it can feel overwhelming to get your home back in order, especially with all the little tasks that tend to pile up. I found that creating a detailed checklist helped immensely—writing down things like taking down Christmas decorations both inside and outside, sweeping terraces, decluttering old pumpkins, and sorting through clothes to decide what to keep or donate. One small but effective tip is borrowing handy gadgets, like a cordless mini-vacuum, to make cleaning quicker and more convenient, especially for car interiors or hard-to-reach spots. Charging devices such as doorbell cameras or other home gadgets as part of your cleanup routine ensures everything is up and running after the holidays. Spending time with family during this period can also make the chores more enjoyable. For example, syncing up with loved ones while tackling tasks like vacuuming rugs or dropping off thrift donations turns what could be a mundane job into quality bonding time. Finally, embracing the 'new year reset' mindset can motivate you to organize your space with fresh energy. Maintaining an ongoing to-do list helps prevent forgetting small details and keeps you on track. Planning your cleanup over a few days, rather than rushing it all at once, can reduce stress and make the process more manageable. This balanced approach has helped me transition smoothly from holiday festivities back to everyday life, leaving my home refreshed and organized for the months ahead.
