Holidays got me!
Alright y’all I am back! First off HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎊 Hope everyone stayed safe and had an amazing time with love ones. Unfortunately, the holidays and birthdays got me and oh man a little over 3 lbs up from where I was last hit me. But, it could be worse. So I’m just going to have to do some reevaluating and change my mindset and get back into it and just keep going. I don’t have a lot to lose to get down to my base goal weight but, I just need to lock in and focus on my portioning and eating habits again. So, here is to 2026! Let’s do this and may this year bring patience, persistence, and a new strong mindset! Cheers y’all! #holidayweightloss #newyearsdiet #embracevulnerability #unfiltered #healthymindset
The holiday season often brings joy, celebration, and, let’s be honest, a few extra pounds. I experienced this firsthand, noticing a bit of a gain after all the festivities and birthdays. It’s important to recognize that gaining five or even three pounds during this time doesn’t mean failure—it just reflects the lifestyle shift that often accompanies holiday events. One effective way to bounce back is to shift your mindset to one of patience and persistence instead of frustration. For me, focusing on mindful portion control was a game-changer. Instead of drastically cutting calories, I started listening to my body’s hunger cues and practiced eating until I was satisfied but not stuffed. This helped me enjoy food and still stay on track. Tracking progress toward a base weight goal can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into weekly achievable targets makes it manageable. Small, consistent actions, like preparing balanced meals and avoiding mindless snacking, add up over time. Also, embracing vulnerability and being unfiltered about your journey with others can create a supportive community, reinforcing healthy habits. Incorporating movement daily—whether a walk, yoga, or home workouts—supports both physical and mental health, contributing to a stronger mindset. Remember, every day is a new opportunity to recommit and refocus. As we step into 2026, setting realistic, kind goals helps maintain motivation without pressure. Celebrate the wins, learn from setbacks, and cultivate a healthy mindset that prioritizes well-being over perfection. Here’s to embracing the journey with patience and persistence!
