We Will Be Closed Starting 1/14/26

Just an update on some closures coming this week and next. The shop will be closed starting Wednesday , January 14th while I undergo a medical procedure for my Radiculopathy in my Lumbar Spine. Due to Martin Luther King Jr Day being Monday, January 19th also and the recovery time I need the shop will not re-open until Wednesday, January 21, 2026. I need to take this time to repair (hopefully) my back. Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to seeing everyone when I re-open then 😁♥️

I've personally experienced the impact of lumbar spine issues, which can cause significant pain and limit daily activities. Prioritizing rest and proper rehabilitation during recovery can greatly improve outcomes and reduce the chance of recurring problems. When facing a recovery period that affects a business or personal plans, clear communication with customers or friends is key to maintain trust and understanding. In this case, the shop owner clearly announced the closure dates in advance, explained the medical reason, and expressed gratitude for support. This transparency helps customers plan around the closure and shows the human side behind the business. For those also dealing with back problems or medical procedures, it's important to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully. Incorporating gentle movements, physical therapy, and ergonomic adjustments to daily life supports healing. I recommend setting realistic expectations about recovery time and allowing yourself the space to heal without pressure. In addition, marking public holidays like Martin Luther King Jr Day in the schedule helps customers understand the extended closure and reduces confusion. Overall, balancing health needs with business or social responsibilities requires thoughtful planning and honest communication, both of which are exemplified here. If you or someone you know is managing a similar health issue or needs to close a business temporarily, taking inspiration from this approach could ease the process and foster empathy from your community.
