Life is Funny
You know, sometimes I look back and just have to laugh. It really is true that LIFE IS FUNNY SOMETIMES. Just a year ago, my biggest concern was getting my winged eyeliner perfectly symmetrical. I spent hours watching MAKEUP tutorials online, poring over techniques for contouring and highlighting. My bathroom counter was a battlefield of brushes, palettes, and primers. I thought that was my 'thing' – the beauty guru in the making, meticulously crafting my look before stepping out. Then, something shifted. Slowly but surely, without me even realizing it, my algorithms started changing. First, it was a random baking video, then a bread-making channel. And before I knew it, I was deep into the rabbit hole of SOURDOUGH STARTER videos. My winged eyeliner became a casual swipe, and my hair, well, let’s just say it saw fewer washes and more messy buns. Suddenly, the precision I once applied to my face was now directed at feeding my bubbly, yeasty friend. It’s hilarious how life guides you down these unexpected paths. I never thought I’d be someone who talks about 'proofing' and 'stretch and folds,' but here I am, completely enamored with the process of making artisan bread. There’s a certain kind of humor in the struggle, too – the flat loaves, the over-fermented starters, the sticky messes that inevitably happen.
