GOTH/ALT OUTFIT INSPO 🕷️🖤🦇

☆ MORE GOTH OUTFIT INSPO FOR YOU GUYS ☆

☆ i have appreciated your guys’ love and support on my recent posts so so much 🥹

☆ i seriously feel like i’ve found such a nice community and i love talking to everyone so much! thank you so much to everyone who leaves comments, they make my day!

☆ a little side note… i know shopping shein, temu, aliexpress is super controversial online. i’m not here to promote it, im not here to sell you on it im simply and regretfully a baddie on a budget. i am responsible for buying my clothes… and when i walk in a store and see an item i like that feels likes shein quality but costs $45 i’m sorry, im takin the shein 😭 i thrift as much as i can but even prices there have risen and currently im unemployed and struggling to find work. i haven’t purchased any clothes recently but i just wanted to state that you never know people’s circumstances so please don’t assume the worst in people for buying what is available to them.

☆ anyways… do any of you ever use corsets in your outfits?

... Read moreHey everyone! It's so amazing to connect with you all over our shared love for alternative fashion. I wanted to dive a little deeper into what makes goth and alt styles so captivating, especially since many of you asked about distinguishing between them and finding great outfit ideas. First off, let's chat about 'Goth vs. Alt' – a query I see a lot! While they often overlap, 'Goth' usually refers to a specific subculture rooted in music, aesthetics, and often a romantic, melancholic, or Victorian-inspired feel. Think rich fabrics like velvet and lace, intricate designs, and a strong focus on black clothing. You might see elements like long coats, dramatic skirts, and elegant accessories. 'Alt,' on the other hand, is a much broader umbrella. It encompasses various subcultures like punk, emo, grunge, cyber, and even pastel goth. It's more about expressing individuality outside of mainstream fashion, often blending different styles and eras. So, while all goth fashion is alt, not all alt fashion is goth! I personally love drawing inspiration from both, creating a unique blend that feels true to me. When it comes to building a 'goth girl outfit' or any 'alt outfit inspo,' black clothing is definitely your canvas. But it's all about how you play with textures and layers. For instance, a simple black top can be transformed with a sheer, lacy overlay or a chunky knit. I’m a huge fan of layering – it adds so much depth and personality. And speaking of layers, have you tried incorporating a 'black corset'? They are game-changers for cinching the waist and adding that classic gothic silhouette. I often wear mine over a simple dress or even a long-sleeved 'fishnet top' for an edgy touch, just like in some of my mirror selfies! Accessories are key to elevating any 'gothic girl style'. Fishnets aren't just for legs; they can be worn as tops, sleeves, or even incorporated into DIY projects. I love how a 'layered skirt' can add drama and movement to an outfit. And don't forget the details! A touch of 'green trim' on an otherwise all-black ensemble can really make a statement, or even a fun 'Hello Kitty sticker' on an accessory for a cute contrast. For footwear, combat boots or chunky platforms are staples. And let's not overlook 'goth subculture fashion black clothing makeup.' Makeup is incredibly important for completing the look. Dark eyeliner, dramatic eyeshadow, and a bold lip are classic. Personally, I love experimenting with different eyeliner shapes and sometimes add a pop of color, like a subtle blue streak in my 'black hair with blue streaks,' to complement my outfit. Glasses can also be a stylish accessory, adding to that intellectual yet edgy vibe. Finding these pieces on a budget, especially for specific items like a 'Tripp NYC skirt', can be a challenge. My approach involves a lot of thrifting, scouring online marketplaces, and sometimes even getting creative with DIY. It's about vision – seeing the potential in a piece and imagining how it fits into your 'goth outfit inspo.' It’s proof that you don't need to spend a fortune to express your unique 'gothic inspo' and 'alt style'. Happy styling!
