valentine's day as a single girl 🩷

hoping everyone had a lovely valentine's (and/or galentines's) day!! 🫶💘

even as a forever single gal, i'm not a hater of VDay, i see it as a day to let all your friends and family know that you love them! plus, who doesn't enjoy giving and getting chocolates, sweet treats and flowers?

i especially love buying cards for the special people in my life and sending them a little snail mail valentine's ❤️ it such a simple way to remind your loved ones that you LOVE them!

how did you celebrate this year?

Read moreIt's totally okay to feel a mix of emotions around Valentine's Day when you're single, but I've discovered it's actually one of the best times to celebrate all forms of love – especially the love for your incredible friends and, of course, for yourself! If you're wondering how to make the day special without a romantic partner, let me share some of my favorite ways to turn V-Day into a truly joyful occasion. First up, let's talk about Galentine's Day! It’s not just a cute name; it’s a wonderful excuse to shower your besties with appreciation. Beyond sending sweet snail mail cards, why not plan a fun get-together? We've done everything from a cozy movie night complete with rom-coms and homemade popcorn to a potluck dinner where everyone brings their favorite comfort food. Another year, we organized a craft night, decorating cookies with pink and red frosting and glitter, or even making DIY bath bombs. The key is just spending quality time together, reminding each other how much you mean to one another. And what about treating yourself? This is crucial! Valentine's Day is a perfect opportunity to practice some serious self-love. Think about what truly makes you feel cherished. For me, it might be curling up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee – maybe even a fancy iced coffee treat from my favorite cafe. Or perhaps baking a batch of heart-shaped donuts, complete with chocolate frosting and those festive pink, red, and white sprinkles, just for myself to enjoy while watching a feel-good show. It’s about indulging in those little pleasures that often get overlooked in our busy lives. You could also plan a solo adventure. Visit a museum, explore a new park, or treat yourself to a spa day. There's so much joy to be found in your own company. Another idea I love is creating a 'love list' – not just for others, but for everything you appreciate in your life right now. It could be big things, like your career, or small things, like the perfect cup of tea in the morning. Lastly, don't forget the joy of giving. Beyond chocolates and flowers, consider putting together a small care package for a friend who might be feeling down, or volunteering your time to a cause you care about. Spreading love in various forms truly makes the day feel fulfilling, whether you're coupled up or happily single. So, let's reclaim Valentine's Day as a celebration of all the love in our lives, making it a day to remember for all the right reasons!
