Easy braid hairstyle
Hey everyone! I know how challenging it can be to find easy, yet stylish hairstyles, especially when you're juggling a million things. As a mom myself, 'easy mom hair' is my daily mantra, and I’ve finally mastered a few simple braids that are my go-to. Forget spending hours in front of the mirror – these are quick, chic, and perfect for any occasion! Let's talk about SIMPLE BRAIDS first. My favorite is a variation of a loose three-strand braid that works wonders, even if you have layered hair like I do. The trick is to keep your sections slightly larger and not pull too tight. This gives it a soft, effortless look that's super forgiving. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide for my favorite 'no hair tie' braid: Start by sectioning off a small piece of hair from temple to temple, across the top of your head. Divide this section into three equal strands. Begin a standard three-strand braid, crossing the right strand over the middle, then the left over the new middle. After one or two crosses, start incorporating small sections of hair from the sides into your outer strands before crossing them over. This is your classic French braid technique, but we’re keeping it loose! Continue braiding down your head, angling slightly backward. Once you reach the nape of your neck, you can either switch to a regular three-strand braid all the way down or, for a 'no hair tie' finish, secure it with a small, clear elastic or even by tucking the end under itself and pinning it if your hair is long enough. For a truly tie-free look, you can also gently pull apart the braid to make it thicker and less likely to unravel naturally, or integrate it into a bun. For those of us with layered hair, don't despair! Braiding layered hair can be a bit trickier because of shorter pieces popping out. My tip is to use a light texturizing spray or mousse before you start. This gives your hair a bit more grip and helps those shorter layers stay put. When you're braiding, try to incorporate the layers smoothly into your main sections. A looser braid, like a fishtail or a relaxed French braid, tends to work better than a super tight one, as it allows layers to blend in more naturally. Don't be afraid of a few wisps – they add to the charm! And for anyone looking for that whimsical, hippie little braids vibe, these are so fun and easy to add to almost any style. Simply take very small sections of hair, usually from around your face or crown, and braid them down. You can do just one or two, or scatter several tiny braids throughout your hair. I often do a couple of these right around my face, leaving the rest of my hair down or in a loose bun. They add a touch of bohemian chic without any effort. You can even secure them with tiny clear elastics or just let them unravel slightly for an even more natural, free-spirited look. Sometimes, I even create these tiny braids and then loosely gather them with the rest of my hair into a low ponytail or messy bun – it elevates the look instantly! These simple braiding techniques have honestly been a lifesaver for my 'easy mom hair' routine. They’re quick, versatile, and make me feel put-together even on my busiest days. Give them a try!
