Crown of Midnight

Sarah J. Maas

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just finished "Crown of Midnight" by Sarah J. Maas, and it was even harder to put down than the first book! The plot twists were insane, and the characters got so much more interesting. I loved how it kept me guessing the whole time!

In my opinion, this book was more entertaining than the first book too. The action scenes were intense, the romance was swoon-worthy, and there were so many surprises. And can we talk about the characters?! They all just felt so real and I got really invested in their stories.

Definitely a must-read if you liked the first book. Can't wait to dive into the next one!

... Read morePicking up 'Crown of Midnight' after finishing the first book felt like stepping back into a world I already loved, but with so many new layers! My honest review truly stands at a solid 5/5, and I wanted to share a bit more about why this sequel completely captured me. It’s not just the plot twists, though they were absolutely mind-blowing and kept me glued to the pages, guessing until the very end. Sarah J. Maas has a way of developing characters that makes them feel incredibly real, almost like friends you're rooting for. You see Celaena grow and face even tougher challenges, and the emotional stakes are so much higher. This book really solidifies her journey and makes you feel every triumph and heartbreak alongside her. The dynamic between the characters becomes even more complex and captivating, adding so much depth to the narrative. One thing I particularly love about collecting this series is having the physical copies. There's something special about holding the 'Crown of Midnight' hardcover in your hands, isn't there? The weight of it, the feel of the pages as you turn them, and the visual appeal of the cover art – it just enhances the whole reading experience. I often find myself curled up in a cozy spot, maybe by a window or near a fireplace, completely lost in the story. That ideal, cozy indoor setting really sets the mood for getting absorbed in such a rich fantasy world. It makes those intense action sequences and tender romantic moments feel even more immersive and personal. What truly elevated this book for me was the expansion of the world and the deepening of the political intrigue. It’s not just about Celaena's personal journey anymore; the stakes feel grander, hinting at much bigger conflicts to come, and the lore becomes even more fascinating. The pacing was absolutely perfect, a true page-turner from start to finish. Every chapter left me wanting more, making it incredibly difficult to put down – even more so than 'Throne of Glass.' I found myself sacrificing sleep just to read 'one more chapter,' and before I knew it, dawn was breaking. That's the sign of a truly amazing book, in my opinion, deserving of its 'Amazing!' label. If you’re on the fence about continuing the series, don't be! 'Crown of Midnight' takes everything great about the first book and amplifies it. It’s a fantastic blend of high fantasy, thrilling action, and a romance that will make your heart flutter. For anyone who enjoys a powerful female protagonist, intricate plots, and a world brimming with magic and danger, this book is an absolute must-read. Seriously, treat yourself to the hardcover, find your favorite cozy reading nook, and prepare to be swept away into Celaena's incredible world. You won't regret diving deeper into this epic saga!

I just finished this a couple days ago! I was so sad at the end when she left Chaol. Now I’m sooo intrigued what’s gonna happen in the next book!
