My New Go-To Dessert @ Maxwell

Dropped by Yuen Yeung near Maxwell on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet — which made the vibes even better ✨ Cozy spot, perfect for a chill break.

I came back just for their Fresh Strawberry Milk Snow and it did not disappoint! At $12.40, the portion was huge and honestly so worth it.

Topped with coconut ice cream, the shaved ice went really well with the milk pudding cubes (my favourite!!) Strawberries weren’t the sweetest, but they were huge!

Definitely a dessert you’ll want to share — we tried to, but still couldn’t finish it 🫣

Refreshing, pretty, and super satisfying. Would totally come back again if I’m around the area ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪

Note that the queue gets pretty long during evenings so do head there early to avoid the queue!

When I first visited, the large portion surprised me, making it ideal for sharing with friends or family. The shaved ice was light and fluffy, blending perfectly with the creamy milk pudding cubes, which quickly became my favorite texture in the dish. The coconut ice cream adds a tropical note that balances well with the milky sweetness and fresh strawberries, even though the strawberries weren’t overly sweet, their size added to the indulgence. The combination felt refreshing after a day out in the heat. From personal experience, I’d recommend visiting during off-peak hours since the queue can grow long in the evenings. This allows you to relax and enjoy the cozy ambiance without the wait. Additionally, if you’re curious about other offerings, Yuen Yeung also serves traditional Chinese desserts and mochi items that bring a nostalgic touch to your Maxwell food adventure. Exploring these dishes can add variety and deepen your appreciation for local flavors. For dessert lovers looking for a unique and satisfying option near Maxwell, this spot is worth a return visit—you might even find your new go-to dessert here!
