I thought today was a huge win🥹
Has your investment account ever ruined your good mood? 😅
Working as a permanent makeup (PMU) artist is a rewarding yet demanding profession. On what seemed like a great day full of fulfilling client appointments — from eyebrow retouches to lip blushing sessions — the emotional highs can quickly be tempered by external stressors, especially financial ones. I’ve personally experienced how seeing a negative dip in my investment portfolio can overshadow the joy of delivering flawless touch-ups and transformations to clients. For instance, during a busy day filled with five different clients requesting detailed eyebrow and lip blush work, I found moments of happiness both in the artistry and in simple human connections, like buying water for a homeless man nearby. Yet, ending that day with a significant loss marked on my financial report brought home how unpredictable life can be. This duality highlights an important aspect of being a PMU artist—or anyone juggling creative passion and financial responsibilities. It's essential to maintain balance: celebrating small victories in your craft while being prepared to handle setbacks calmly. I find regular treatments to ease neck and shoulder pain during long workdays help sustain my energy and enthusiasm. If you’re a fellow creative professional or someone investing your hard-earned money, don’t let financial fluctuations ruin your mood entirely. Instead, embrace mindfulness, celebrate your daily achievements, and remember that even small acts of kindness can make your day more meaningful. By sharing these ups and downs, I hope to encourage others to find resilience and joy in their own journeys, no matter what the numbers say.
