Healing relationship/ Joy

Some women have never actually been touched.

Not in the way that means you’re safe here.

So the body holds it.

Quietly. For years.

Then menopause comes — the womb stops birthing — and everything it’s been holding finally has room to surface.

Old heartbreak.

Old hurt. Things you thought you’d already moved past.

That’s what breathwork is for. Not relaxation — release. Breath by breath, it asks your body what it’s still holding onto, and slowly, gently, gives it permission to let go.

I did this work with Camie.

It opened something I didn’t know was still closed.

Your body’s been waiting.

This is the invitation.

... Read moreMany women carry emotional scars from childhood or past relationships that remain buried within their bodies for years, sometimes without full awareness. Menopause often acts as a pivotal time when these suppressed emotions and unresolved heartbreak can surface, as the body undergoes significant hormonal and physical changes. Breathwork, unlike simple relaxation techniques, serves as a therapeutic tool to consciously access these held emotions. Through intentional breathing exercises, you can gently invite your nervous system to confront what has been stored beneath the surface—such as grief, fear, or feelings of not being touched or safe—and allow it to release in a safe, controlled way. From personal experience, starting breathwork requires patience and self-compassion. Initially, you may encounter resistance or discomfort because the body is protecting vulnerabilities. Gradually, with consistent practice and guidance, breathwork opens pathways to old wounds, providing space for healing that goes beyond intellectual understanding. This form of emotional healing connects deeply with inner child work and self-worth restoration. As the breath encourages your body to soften and let go, you regain a sense of safety and belonging within yourself. The journey uncovers how societal pressures and past traumas have shaped your relationship with intimacy and being cherished. Practitioners and those who have journeyed through breathwork often highlight the transformative power of this practice—not just in releasing pain but in rediscovering joy and connection to one’s authentic self. It invites you to give permission to your body to heal, honoring every breath as part of your healing journey. For women experiencing this transition, breathwork can mark an essential step towards reclaiming emotional freedom and embracing a renewed sense of wholeness and joy in life.
