Incorporating strength training into your routine helps increase muscle mass, which boosts metabolism and enhances fat burning even when you're resting. From my personal experience, performing moves like planks, mountain climbers, and bicycle crunches 2–3 times a week not only targets the belly area but also improves overall core strength. It's helpful to time your intervals, such as one minute of intense activity followed by 20 seconds of rest, similar to the format I've followed and found effective. Nutrition also plays a vital role. Fuel your workouts and recovery with whole, unprocessed foods—think lean proteins, plenty of vegetables, and healthy fats. Avoiding sugar and refined carbs can accelerate fat loss around your midsection. Lastly, remember that spot reduction is a myth; losing belly fat requires an overall fat loss strategy combined with patience and consistency. Don’t get discouraged if overnight results don’t happen; steady, doable progress is the key to long-lasting change. If you’re over 40, these approaches are especially beneficial, as metabolism and hormone changes can make fat loss more challenging. Adjusting your routine with these sustainable habits has helped me stay strong and energized without the stress of extreme diets or punishing workouts.
