✨ PR Haul #4 || How to get them with 1k ✨

Already stocking up for the next haul but here’s some goodies I got from the last month or so with only 1k followers 💙

🛍 IPSY - PR List

IPSY sends me their monthly and quarterly boxes for review through the Grin Platform. (Glam Bag, Boxycharm, and Top Icon) I applied for IPSY and Boxycharm almost 2 years ago and got accepted pretty instantly. This is when they weren’t merged yet so I’m not sure if the process is the same. I’ve also heard of them reaching out but in rarer cases.

🛍 I Dew Care & Kaja Beauty - PR List & Skeepers App

Now I Dew Care is everywhere! I got the headband and spatula from the Skeepers App formerly known as Octoly for a Text Review and then Mask and Spatula Set from their PR List. Octoly is required minimum of 1k followers but they have tons of brands and campaigns to apply to (5 applications per time frame - must do requirements of you’ll loose your credits).

I was accepted to the PR List almost two years ago (just like IPSY) so again I’m not sure if the process is the same but I went through MBX Ambassadors to sign up. They work with a few K Beauty Brands but I always get the emails for Kaja Beauty and I Dew Care’s new launches! I used to get memebox as well but I haven’t heard of anything from them since I started getting these packages. I don’t believe there’s a limit on how many followers you can have with this one and they’ll send emails to apply for products when they have it (again maybe a new launch or a sale promo).

💝 Stay Tuned for the next haul cause it’s gonna be a good one!! Lancôme, Urban Decay, and more 😘

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have asked about the nitty-gritty of getting into influencer and PR programs, especially with a smaller following. My recent IPSY PR haul sparked a lot of interest, and I totally get it – getting those coveted beauty boxes feels like winning the lottery! I want to share more detailed insights into the application process, specifically for programs like IPSY, and how you can boost your chances even if you're just starting out. First, let's talk about the IPSY influencer program. While the process might evolve, my experience two years ago involved directly applying through their platform. It’s crucial to show them your passion for beauty and your consistent content creation. Don't just list your follower count; highlight your engagement, your unique perspective, and why their products resonate with your audience. When you apply, make sure your social media profiles are public and showcase high-quality, authentic reviews or looks. They're looking for genuine enthusiasm and creators who truly love their products, whether it's for their monthly Glam Bag, Boxycharm, or the premium ICONBOX. Showing off the kinds of products you review, like an eyeshadow palette or those fun glitter multisticks, can really make your application pop! Beyond direct applications, platforms like Grin and Skeepers (formerly Octoly) are absolute game-changers, especially for micro-influencers. My I Dew Care goodies, like that adorable giraffe-print headband and the 4-in-1 silicone mask brush, came through Skeepers. These platforms act as a bridge between brands and creators. The key here is consistency. On Skeepers, you apply for campaigns, and once accepted, you must fulfill the requirements (like a text review or a video) to earn credits for future campaigns. It’s a fantastic way to build a portfolio of brand collaborations and get your hands on products like Wink Dazzle eyeshadow or even the Gold Kitten product I received. Start by finding brands that align with your niche, even if they're smaller. Every successful collaboration adds to your credibility. When preparing your application for any program, think of it like a mini-resume. Even if you don't have a formal media kit yet, jot down your unique stats: average likes, comments, and saves per post, your audience demographics (if you have access to insights), and what makes your content stand out. Showcasing your unboxing skills with a cute tiger-print headband or demonstrating how you use a product from your pouches can speak volumes. Brands want to see that you're not just collecting freebies but genuinely want to create valuable, engaging content for their products. Remember, patience is a virtue in this game. You might not get accepted into every program, and that's okay! Keep creating, keep engaging with your audience, and keep refining your content. The beauty community is vast, and there are always new opportunities. My journey with IPSY and other brands started with a simple application and a clear passion for what I do. You can totally do it too!
