🌸 Little Things • Phase 01 • Makeup Brush Reset ✨💕🧼

All I needed was a little Dawn and some arm power 💪🏽

and we’re back to the basics…

These last couple months have been hectic,

and I’ve been trying to make progress where I can—

but I knew it was time to get back to the glow up, flamingos 🦩

So this week, instead of waiting for the “right time”

I finally did a little something in between.

This one’s for getting back into the pink room,

and back to creating again.

The brushes are clean.

Vanity Phase 02 is up next.

And I’m already onto the next little reset…

Can you guess what it is? 👀

Not only does it help your makeup apply more smoothly and look flawless, but it also protects your skin by removing residue, oils, and bacteria. From personal experience, using a gentle dish soap like Dawn works wonders for deep cleaning brushes without damaging the bristles. I usually wet the brush under lukewarm water, add a small amount of Dawn, and gently massage the bristles in my palm to break down any makeup build-up. It takes some arm power, but the difference is instantly noticeable — the brushes look refreshed, and applying makeup afterwards feels much smoother. Regularly cleaning my brushes also gave me a chance to step back and reset my entire vanity space. It's amazing how a simple act like this helped me regain motivation for my ongoing glow-up journey. Plus, it sparked excitement for the next phase: organizing and refreshing my makeup collection. If you’re juggling a hectic lifestyle, finding small opportunities like this to pause and care for yourself can make a significant impact. Whether you’re a busy mom or someone passionate about beauty, a little reset can help you feel more in control and inspired. For those wondering about the best cleaning frequency, I recommend washing brushes used for liquid products weekly, while those for powders can be cleaned every two weeks. Always let your brushes dry completely before using them again to maintain their shape and hygiene. Joining challenges like #glowupjourney and #selfcareroutine can also provide motivation and community support for consistent self-care practices. In the end, it's these little things — like a makeup brush reset — that build towards bigger confidence and glow-ups over time.

I’m so mad at you right now. I’ve been putting this off for as long as you and it had to be done today after you did it 🙄 thanks 🤪
