I was careful to pat the chips very dry before frying, which helped avoid splattering and kept them crunchy. The frying temperature of 350°F (175°C) was just right for a golden finish in about 2–3 minutes. For a lighter twist, I also tried air frying at 375°F for 10–15 minutes with excellent results. The honey butter coating is where this snack truly shines. Mixing melted unsalted butter with honey, powdered sugar, milk powder, garlic and onion powder, and a pinch of fine salt created a sweet and savory glaze that clung beautifully to the chips.
