As I reach this 7-month milestone in my loc journey, it's a wonderful time to reflect on the progress and changes my hair has gone through. Locs, or dreadlocks, are not just a hairstyle; they carry cultural significance and symbol a personal journey for many, particularly within the Black community. Over the past months, I've experimented with styles that keep my locs looking fresh, and I've learned essential care techniques to maintain healthy hair. Regular cleansing and moisturizing are vital, as they help prevent buildup and dryness that can hinder loc development. Additionally, protecting your locs at night with a silk or satin scarf can reduce frizz and breakage. I’ve also discovered a community online dedicated to locs, where sharing advice and styling inspiration is encouraged. As I look forward to the next 5 months, I'm excited about the transformation my hair will continue to undergo and the stories I will gather along the way. Embracing this journey has been liberating, and I can't wait to see how my locs evolve into a beautiful crown of my identity.

Beautiful!!! Did you start them yourself or did you get them done? I’m thinking about starting my own 😁
