This time I stopped by on the way back from Atera Valley 🚗
Just walking along the cobblestone streets makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to the Edo period ✨

The handmade soba was fragrant and perfect after a walk 😊
I also got Gohei Mochi!
The grain feeling of rice remained firmly, and the texture is different from the usual Gohei mochi ✨

妻籠宿は古き良き江戸時代の雰囲気をそのまま残す宿場町として人気ですが、訪れて感じたことをもう少し詳しく共有したいと思います。 まず、駐車場は中央駐車場がおすすめで料金は500円。尾又橋を渡ればすぐに石畳の町並みが広がりますので、アクセスの良さが魅力です。平日も休日も比較的混み合うため、早めに到着するのがベスト。特に週末に訪れる際は、駐車スペースを確保するために朝から行動を起こすのが快適です。 ランチで訪れた「お食事処 おもて」は、地元の素材で打った手打ちそばが絶品。石臼で挽くそば粉の香りがしっかりと感じられ、さっぱりとした味わいで散策後の空腹を満たしてくれます。お店は14時までの営業なので、訪問時間には注意が必要です。 五平餅もぜひ食べていただきたい一品。五平餅は長野や岐阜県を中心に食べられている郷土料理ですが、こちらのは一粒一粒のお米の食感が残り、味噌だれの香ばしさと相まって普段食べるものとは違った食感が楽しめます。小腹が空いた時や食べ歩きにぴったりです。 妻籠宿とセットで訪れる阿寺渓谷もおすすめ。清流と自然の美しさが楽しめるスポットで、特に夏場は涼を求めて多くの人が訪れます。日帰りでの周遊プランを組めば、歴史散策と自然体験の両方を満喫でき、充実した休日になるでしょう。 また、妻籠宿では古民家を活かしたカフェや土産物屋も点在しており、食べ歩きやショッピングも楽しめます。歴史を感じる町並みをゆっくり散策しながら、地元の味やお土産を探すのも旅の醍醐味です。 私の体験としては、駐車場の場所を事前に確認し、早めに食事処に行くことで待ち時間もなくスムーズでした。次回訪れるときは、地元の工芸品店やカフェにも立ち寄り、より深く妻籠宿の魅力を味わいたいと感じています。ぜひ皆さんも歴史ある街並みと地元グルメ、自然の美しさを堪能する旅を計画してみてください。
