A day in Newport RI

Newport, Rhode Island, is an absolute gem, and spending a day there feels like stepping into a postcard! If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend starting your morning early to soak in all the charm. My ideal day usually kicks off with a walk along the famous Cliff Walk. The views are simply spectacular – you get these incredible scenic coastal views, with the calm blue water stretching out to the horizon, and you can spot distant shorelines with elegant mansions. I once found a fascinating, almost hidden, dark, narrow opening within a stone structure on one of the estate grounds – it felt like discovering a secret passage from another era! As the day winds down, I love to find a spot by the water to watch the sunset. The way the light reflects off the calm blue water is just magical. Newport offers so many incredible vantage points, whether you're by the harbor or on a quieter stretch of coastline. It’s the perfect end to a day filled with exploration and beauty.
