Slow Cooked Chuck Roast& Homemade Mashed Potatoes
Step 1:
Once cut into smaller chunks, add to medium sized pan. Allow to brown on all sides, once a nice sear is established, add water to cover the meat. I added a couple spoonfuls of beef broth seasoning. Reduce heat and allow the meat to cook for 1-2 hours. (Once you’ve cooked potatoes turn the heat back up to medium high)
Step 2:
I used Florida Golden Potatoes, cut into smaller chunks (this allows it to cook faster). Add to a pot and bring to a boil. This step takes around 15 minutes for potatoes to be soft.
Step 3:
Remove potatoes from heat, and drain water. Add to a medium bowl. Add a generous amount of Garlic Herb Butter, roughly 1 Tbs of Roasted Garlic Paste, 1 Tbs Italian Herb Paste, Milk, or Heavy Whipping Cream, Garlic Powder, Garlic Salt and Black Pepper. Mash until you have desired consistency.
*Note*
After the meat starts to become tender and you’ve cooked the mashed potatoes, cook a gravy to go on top. Home Made or Store Bought makes this so much better! I just used store bought gravy and added it as a last step.
Add Potatoes to bowl, and add spoonfuls of the meat/gravy mixture.
This is one of my favorite meals, relatively easy and always comes out delicious!
