my rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

wow wow wow! this book was so so good! i was a little nervous about the enjoying the series after the first book, but this one blew me away! juliette’s growth was incredible! as kenji said, she “put on her big girl pants.” her timid personality became courageous and confident. i loved how she realized that she could harness her power if she was bold enough to try and she was! she is definitely becoming one of my favorite female characters!

can we just take a moment to mention AARON WARNER!?! this man!! the things he says make me wanna melt🫠 i liked him in the first book, but now, i am OBSESSED. he has so much love for juliette and the sacrifices he made for her and how he encouraged her so much were so sweet. i am so in love with him haha😂

anywayyyy, i cannot wait to finish the rest of the series! i am so excited to see how juliette continues to grow and how she and aaron end up!

... Read moreWow, diving back into the 'Shatter Me' series with Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi was an experience I won't soon forget! While first books can sometimes set a high bar, this second installment absolutely annihilated my expectations. Many readers are searching for general info about 'unravel me' and 'tahereh mafi', and I just have to gush about why this book is a must-read for anyone on the fence. One of the biggest takeaways for me was Juliette's incredible metamorphosis. In the first book, she was timid and unsure, but in *Unravel Me*, she truly starts to 'put on her big girl pants,' as Kenji so aptly put it. We see her grapple with her powers and her identity, finally beginning to understand the magnitude of what she can do. It's not just physical strength; it's a mental and emotional growth that makes her one of my favorite female protagonists. She transforms from someone who fears her touch to someone who actively seeks to harness it, showing immense courage. For anyone looking for a strong female lead who truly evolves, Juliette's journey here is captivating. And then there’s Aaron Warner. Oh, Aaron Warner! It's no surprise that 'aaron warner book' is a popular search query, because honestly, he steals the show. His character development in Unravel Me is just as compelling as Juliette's. We get to see so many layers peeled back, revealing a man who is fiercely protective, deeply devoted, and surprisingly vulnerable. Every interaction between 'juliette and aaron' is charged with tension and undeniable chemistry. His sacrifices for her, his unwavering belief in her, and those melt-worthy lines he delivers—it’s all just perfection. If you were even slightly intrigued by him in *Shatter Me*, prepare to become completely obsessed here. He’s complex, morally gray in the best way, and his love for Juliette is a force to be reckoned with. Beyond the characters, Tahereh Mafi's writing continues to mesmerize. Her prose is so poetic and vivid, drawing you deeply into Juliette’s internal world and the dystopian setting. She crafts a world that feels both terrifying and hopeful. It’s no wonder 'unravel me tahereh mafi' is a search term because her unique style is truly a defining feature of these 'unravel me books'. Let’s not forget the visual appeal, though! The 'Unravel Me book cover' itself is iconic. The one I have, by Tahereh Mafi, features that striking blue eye with white branches and tears, which is so symbolic of Juliette’s internal struggle and the emotional depth of the story. It perfectly captures the essence of her breaking free from her emotional binds. Just looking at it makes me want to dive back into the pages! It's a New York Times Bestseller for a reason, and the cover art is definitely part of its allure. If you’re wondering whether to continue the 'Shatter Me' series, or if you're just starting and looking ahead, Unravel Me is where the series truly hits its stride. It’s packed with action, emotional depth, and character arcs that will leave you wanting more. I'm already itching to read the rest of the 'unravel me books' to see how Juliette continues to grow and how her relationship with Aaron Warner unfolds. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
