... Read moreWhen I first started using color theory in my makeup routine, it completely transformed how I approached concealing imperfections. For instance, applying a green color corrector, like the one from L.A. Girl Cosmetics, instantly neutralized the red areas on my skin such as blemishes and irritation. It’s amazing how understanding complementary colors can make your makeup not only look better but also last longer. I also found purple blush a game changer for brightening and correcting dullness under the eyes. The purple tones counteract yellowish under-eye circles, giving a refreshed look without heavy concealer. I love the one from Danessa Myricks Beauty for its pigmented yet blendable formula. Using a yellow foundation layer helped to balance overall skin tone, especially for those with darker under-eye circles or uneven base colors. Combining these products strategically, inspired by artists like Aylen Park, really highlights how color theory isn't just a concept but a practical tool for everyday makeup. The key is to remember that color correction isn’t about covering up but balancing colors to bring harmony to your complexion. Experimenting with different products like the Catrice Cosmetics color corrector can help you find the best shades for your skin. This approach saved me time and gave me confidence in my makeup routine, proving that color theory truly works!
