Happy New Year!
I haven’t spent a New Year’s Eve sober since 2012. In the last 14 years, this is the first time I’ve woken up sober on New Year’s Day.
I don’t regret most of those nights. I was celebrating with friends and family the only way I knew how.
I made memories, had awesome experiences, and shared in the festivities with friends.
After 2 years of living in active addiction, it’s nice to celebrate some firsts — like not being hungover on New Year’s Day.
Hope everyone had a safe and fun NYE! Ready for a brand new year 😎
