QOTD: What’s your favorite food to bake/cook?
Making cookies from scratch is not just about blending flour, sugar, and chocolate chips; it’s an art that brings joy and deliciousness to your kitchen. To get started, you’ll need some key ingredients: butter, sugars, eggs, flour, baking soda, and of course, chocolate chips. Start by mixing the melted butter with sugars, incorporating eggs one at a time, and then adding the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Remember to fold in those chocolate chips at the end for that melty goodness! Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and drop spoonfuls of dough onto your baking sheet. Bake for about 10-14 minutes until golden brown, and let them cool before indulging. This simple yet delightful recipe not only yields soft, chewy cookies but also creates wonderful memories in the kitchen, perfect for sharing with friends and family. Baking cookies from scratch can be therapeutic, and experimenting with various additions like nuts or dried fruit can lead to new family favorites. Whether you’re a baking novice or an experienced chef, the joy of cookie-making is timeless!
