น้ำท่วมในจังหวัดอยุธยาเป็นปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องในทุกปี เนื่องจากลักษณะภูมิประเทศที่เป็นพื้นที่ลุ่มต่ำ ซึ่งมีแม่น้ำหลายสายไหลผ่าน จึงทำให้อำเภอต่างๆ เหมือนเป็นพื้นที่รองรับน้ำเมื่อมีน้ำหลากจากพื้นที่ต้นน้ำหรือจากกลางแม่น้ำ แต่ปีนี้สถานการณ์น้ำท่วมมีความรุนแรงมากขึ้นจนใกล้เคียงกับเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมใหญ่ในปี 2554 ที่สร้างความเสียหายรุนแรงต่อชุมชนในหลายพื้นที่ ปัญหาหลักที่ชาวบ้านอยุธยาเผชิญคือระดับน้ำที่สูงขึ้นเร็วและไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะลดลง ส่งผลให้พื้นที่อยู่อาศัยและร้านค้าถูกน้ำท่วมจนอาจต้องย้ายหนีอย่างไม่มีกำหนด นอกจากนี้ น้ำท่วมยังเพิ่มความเสี่ยงจากสัตว์อันตราย เช่น งู และตะขาบ ที่เข้ามาในบ้าน ทำให้ชุมชนต้องเผชิญกับความลำบากและอันตรายเพิ่มเติม ในเรื่องการบริหารจัดการน้ำ ก็มีเสียงวิจารณ์เกี่ยวกับการปล่อยน้ำที่บางครั้งทำให้พื้นที่รองรับน้ำต้องรับน้ำมากเกินไปโดยไม่ได้คำนึงถึงผลกระทบต่อชาวบ้าน และยังมีคำถามว่าเหตุใดอยุธยาต้องกลายเป็นที่รองรับน้ำบ่อยครั้งโดยไม่ได้รับการแก้ไขอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งการบริหารจัดการนี้ต้องมีการวางแผนที่รัดกุม ตั้งแต่การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของเขื่อนและอ่างเก็บน้ำ การจัดระบบระบายน้ำ และการสร้างแนวป้องกันน้ำท่วมในพื้นที่ที่มีความเสี่ยงสูง ด้านการช่วยเหลือจากรัฐที่มีการมอบเงินเยียวยาให้แค่ 9,000 บาทต่อหลังคาเรือนก็ดูเหมือนไม่เพียงพอเมื่อเทียบกับความสูญเสียที่ได้รับ ทั้งรายได้ที่หายไปและค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติมจากการฟื้นฟูบ้านเรือนและชีวิตประจำวัน ทำให้ประชาชนขอเรียกร้องให้มีมาตรการที่เหมาะสมและช่วยเหลือจริงจังกว่าเดิม เพื่อบรรเทาความทุกข์ยากจากน้ำท่วม ชุมชนแนะนำให้มีการเตรียมความพร้อมทั้งในเรื่องการจัดเก็บสิ่งของมีค่า การวางแผนอพยพ และการให้ข้อมูลข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับระดับน้ำอย่างทันท่วงที รวมถึงการสร้างเครือข่ายช่วยเหลือกันในระดับชุมชนเพื่อรับมือกับเหตุฉุกเฉินจากน้ำท่วมและสัตว์มีพิษที่อาจเข้ามาใกล้บ้าน สุดท้ายนี้ หวังว่าเจ้าหน้าที่และภาครัฐจะรับฟังเสียงจากประชาชนอย่างจริงจังและดำเนินการแก้ไขปัญหาอย่างเร่งด่วน เพื่อให้ชุมชนในอยุธยาได้กลับมามีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น พร้อมรับมือกับภัยน้ำท่วมในอนาคตได้อย่างมั่นคงและปลอดภัยมากยิ่งขึ้นต่อไป
