Okay, so I have to share more about my Trollhunters convention experience because it was genuinely a dream come true! Meeting Matthew Mercer, the voice behind Draal, was absolutely everything. I've been a huge fan of Draal's character arc in Trollhunters, from his initial antagonism to becoming such a loyal and complex figure, so getting to actually chat with the person who brought him to life was incredible. He was super friendly and we talked a bit about the show, which was just mind-blowing. I even got a personalized signed print of Draal, which is now one of my most prized possessions! It’s one thing to watch your favorite series, but another to connect with the talent behind it. It really makes you appreciate the artistry that goes into these shows. If you ever get the chance to meet a voice actor you admire, totally go for it! It's an unforgettable experience. And then there was my Claire Nuñez cosplay! I decided pretty last minute to put it together, literally pulling it off in about three days. It was a mad dash, but so worth it. I focused on her iconic look: the pink sweater with the red skull design, the blue jacket, and her signature blue hair accessory. Getting all the pieces just right, especially under such a tight deadline, was a challenge, but seeing it come together and wearing it at the con felt amazing. Claire is such a fierce and intelligent character, and embodying her for a day was truly empowering. For anyone thinking about a quick cosplay, my best advice is to pick a character with distinctive but manageable elements and focus on nailing those key details. Thrift stores and craft shops are your best friends! Walking around the convention in my Claire cosplay, seeing other fans, and feeling that collective love for Trollhunters was just electric. It had that real 'Troll Market' vibe, full of energy and fellow enthusiasts. It's moments like these that make you realize how special fandoms are. The show, Tales of Arcadia, holds such a special place in my heart, and to be able to celebrate it, meet the voice of one of my absolute favorite characters like Draal, and showcase my own tribute to Claire Nuñez all in one weekend? Pure magic. Seriously, if you're a Trollhunters fan, you need to experience a con!
