Target Grocery Haul

Stretching our savings thin this month. The kiddos ran out of milk so I made a run to target. My kids are 10,4 and 3 and they still drink milk like it’s water. How old are your kids and do they still drink milk?

Spent a little over $80 and after using my target debit card to get that 5%, this brought my total down to 77 dollars. It’s not a lot but I suppose a little savings goes a long way.

With everything I bought, I’m able to make about 8 meals with what I already have in my freezer. That’s a fair amount to get us through to the weekend. #groceryhaul #lemon8challenge

Start by taking an inventory of what you already have at home, which can significantly cut down costs when shopping. Create a list before you head to the store—this keeps impulsive purchases at bay. Retailers like Target often offer discounts and promotions, especially for members with their store card. Using digital coupons and checking for weekly deals can enhance your savings. Additionally, consider buying in bulk for non-perishable items and frequently used essentials like milk, which can also result in long-term savings. If you can, shop during sales or during a clearance event for extra discounts. It's important to compare prices among brands and opt for store brands which generally provide good quality for a fraction of the price. Also, involving your kids in the grocery shopping trip can be a fun learning experience about budgeting and nutrition while they help you select healthy options. Don't forget to take advantage of online shopping options, where you can compare prices easily and stick strictly to your grocery list. Finally, consider using apps to track your spending and get cash back on certain purchases, ensuring you develop sustainable budgeting habits for future grocery hauls.
