Who am I?

Who am I?

I’m Millour Makes, I found a love for sewing after I sold my Taylor Swift Eras ticket and bought a sewing machine.

I had a newborn so it wouldn’t have been an easy feat to go to the concert but it’s opened up a whole new world of me-made clothes.

The more I sewed the better I felt. I was deep in the depths of postpartum depression and anxiety and it provided a creative outlet in the midst of hard start to motherhood.

I’ve become invigorated to make clothes that I want, because often times I can’t find anything in stores that fit my body and we all need to be reminded that clothes are meant to fit us, not the other way around.

... Read moreAs someone who embarked on the sewing journey amidst the challenges of new motherhood, I deeply resonate with the therapeutic power of creating something with your own hands. Sewing not only nurtures creativity but also serves as a powerful form of self-care. For many, especially those experiencing postpartum health issues, having a creative outlet like sewing helps redirect anxious energy into productive and fulfilling work. One of the most rewarding aspects of sewing is the ability to tailor clothes to your unique body shape. This experience profoundly challenges the conventional fashion industry's one-size-fits-all approach, reminding us that clothes should be designed to suit us—not the other way around. Personalizing garments fosters a strong sense of self-worth and body positivity, which can be transformative after the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. Additionally, sewing offers a sustainable alternative to fast fashion, which resonates with many who want to make mindful choices. Designing and making your own patterns, as mentioned, allows for complete creative freedom and a stronger connection to the wardrobe you wear daily. Through my experience—and reflecting on the shared story—it’s clear that sewing is more than a hobby; it’s a form of healing, empowerment, and personal identity. For anyone struggling with similar feelings or seeking a new passion, I highly encourage trying your hand at sewing. It’s a journey that can lead to surprising personal growth and joy, much like it has for many who turn to handmade clothing for comfort and creative expression.

A light-colored phone case with 'rhode' branding, featuring an integrated holder for a pink 'rhode PEPTIDE LIP TINT' tube. The case is on a wooden surface. Text overlay asks, 'am i the only one who don't like this?'

i was definitely tempted to buy it because, well, I'm a total Booker & Kendall [couple name] fan. You know, when those rumors of them getting back together were swirling? Yeah, that's when I snagged this for Hailey (my phone, not the actual Hailey ). Honestly, the case itself is decent
