This misrepresentation can lead viewers to overlook the skill and time investment essential for needle painting and portrait embroidery. Personally, I’ve found that sharing real-time insights, progress photos, or detailed captions helps people appreciate the labor and love behind each project better than a quick timelapse. Moreover, explaining the detailed thread choices, stitch techniques, and color blending can enhance the viewer’s understanding and respect for the craft. I encourage fellow embroidery artists to focus on storytelling and showcasing stages of their work rather than just fast-forwarding through it. This approach fosters a deeper connection with the audience, highlighting the craftsmanship and patience behind hand embroidery, which is truly an art form that deserves full appreciation without shortcuts.
