Little Engine Coffee

No, Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.35, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia

🏝️ stumbled upon this cute cafe in canggu and its definitely in #MyTop3 for bali!

🍳 i got the little engine platter (36k IDR = $3 SGD)

the mushrooms were delicious and well seasoned, eggs perfectly done and sourdough freshly toasted

🍵 the matcha is also really good, they make it with a real chasen (matcha whisk) but i suggest asking for less sugar or no sugar as it’s a bit sweet

❣️ also really close to TOPSTRETCHING GYM BATU BOLONG which is an aerial yoga/hiit gym (i’ll make another post about this soon!) so you can stop by this cafe for brunch before gg to a class!

... Read moreSo, you've heard about the incredible $3 brunch at Little Engine Coffee in Canggu, but let me tell you, there's so much more to love about this spot than just that amazing deal! After my initial visit, I found myself going back a few times because the vibe and other menu items were just as impressive. While the 'Little Engine Platter' with its perfectly done eggs, juicy mushrooms, and fresh sourdough is a must-try (seriously, the chives on the omelet are a nice touch!), I also fell in love with their matcha. They truly prepare it with a real chasen, which makes a huge difference, but remember my tip: ask for less or no sugar for the perfect balance! I also peeked at their full menu board from the counter. They offer a fantastic range beyond just platters. I saw options for nourishing smoothie bowls, delicious-looking sandwiches, and a variety of fresh juices. The pricing for these other items seemed incredibly reasonable too, making it a great budget-friendly option for any meal. From the Google Maps photos I saw later, their avocado toast and other breakfast plates look equally tempting! Stepping inside, Little Engine Coffee has this wonderfully relaxed and airy feel. The interior is super inviting with its wooden tables and chairs, perfect for settling in for a lazy morning or even getting some work done. I loved how the natural light streamed in. The entrance, marked by that cool 'HELLO, WE ARE OPEN' sign and the unique 'LITTLE ENGINE B/ MACHINERY' branding (with a gas pump nozzle handle!), really sets it apart. Outside, you'll often see motorbikes parked, giving it that authentic Canggu cafe scene feel. It’s not just about the food; it’s about soaking in the local atmosphere. Finding Little Engine Coffee is quite easy; it's right on Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong. It's perfectly situated whether you're staying in Canggu or Seminyak, making it a breeze to pop over. Given its popularity and 4.6-star rating on Google Maps, I'd recommend trying to go a little earlier in the morning to beat the rush, especially if you want a prime spot. Their opening hours are quite generous, so you have plenty of time to enjoy. And as mentioned, it's literally a stone's throw from TOPSTRETCHING GYM BATU BOLONG, so you can easily combine a delicious brunch with a workout – talk about maximizing your Bali experience! Overall, Little Engine Coffee isn't just a place for a cheap brunch; it's a genuinely high-quality cafe experience that consistently delivers. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast, a refreshing matcha, or just a chill spot to hang out, this place ticks all the boxes. Definitely add it to your Bali itinerary – you won't regret saving this gem!
