The Infatuated Fae Book Two' by Jeneane O'Riley. I love having a physical space to log my start and finish dates, track page counts, and jot down immediate thoughts as I go along. It helps me process everything, especially with a book as captivating and intense as this one. Even adding little touches like those butterfly stickers (just like the ones adorning my review page for this book!) makes it feel so personal and reflective of my journey through the story. 'What Did You Do?' truly delivered on the promise of an entertaining read for more than half the book. Jeneane O'Riley is undeniably the queen of plot twists and shockers, leaving me guessing and gasping with almost every chapter ending on a cliffhanger. The Fae world she's built is immersive, and the character dynamics are incredibly compelling. I was completely invested, especially when it came to rooting for certain characters – yes, I'm absolutely Team Eli over here! The emotional stakes felt high, and that's precisely what I look for in a good fantasy read. However, as my 4-star rating suggests, there were a few bumps in the road. As I got closer to the end, the pacing felt rushed, and some parts became a bit confusing. It felt like the final chapters didn't quite live up to the brilliant build-up. I also noticed some publishing errors, from small spelling mistakes to phrases or events that seemed to contradict earlier details. It was a bit distracting and, in my opinion, didn't do justice to the incredible story that Miss O'Riley had crafted. It’s a shame when such a fantastic narrative is hampered by production issues. Despite these minor frustrations, the core story, the unforgettable plot twists, and my attachment to the characters have me eagerly awaiting book three. A reading journal like my FairyLoot one is invaluable for capturing these nuanced thoughts – acknowledging both the brilliance and the areas for improvement.
