The Most Dangerous Word Is “Later” | A Lesson That Could Change Your Life

There comes a point when you realize life isn’t changed by one big decision. It’s changed by the small choices you make every day.

The hardest part isn’t starting. It’s convincing yourself that you still have time.

Whatever you’ve been putting off, I hope today is the day you take the first step.

If this message spoke to you, save it so you can come back when you need the reminder, and share it with someone who’s been saying “I’ll do it later.”

... Read moreFrom my personal experience, I’ve found that the word 'later' often acts as a trap preventing progress, no matter how motivated I initially feel. For years, I told myself, "I'll start my fitness routine later," or "I'll call that important contact later," but as the days passed, those opportunities slipped away. What helped me break this cycle was realizing that life’s transformation isn’t about a single dramatic moment but the accumulation of small consistent actions. One technique I use to overcome the 'later' mindset is breaking tasks into manageable steps. Instead of overwhelming myself by thinking about the entire goal, I focus on just the immediate next step, like putting on workout clothes or drafting a short email. This made starting less intimidating and helped build momentum. Moreover, I set reminders and accountability checkpoints to gently nudge myself. For example, I let a close friend know about my goals so they could check in with me, turning vague intentions into commitments. I've noticed that the phrase "I'll do it later" often disguises a fear of failure or perfectionism, so by practicing self-compassion and accepting imperfect progress, I freed myself from the paralysis that 'later' creates. If you’re reading this, consider what you’ve been putting off with a 'later' promise. Wouldn’t it be empowering to make today the day you take your first, tiny step? Even a five-minute effort toward change accumulates over time, shaping a new path for your future success and growth. Remember, the key is not to wait for the perfect moment to start because that moment might never come. Instead, start now, even if it feels small. As they say, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step—don’t let 'later' rob you of your first one.

Be honest… What’s one thing you’ve been telling yourself you’ll do “later”?

Most men fear silence. A masculine man seeks it. While the world is distracted, he sits alone with his thoughts, reviewing his decisions, his mistakes, and his future. 1. Solitude sharpens vision. The noise of the crowd disappears, and purpose becomes clear. 2. Discipline is built in t

A page of Bible study notes defining repentance as a crucial step for reconciliation with God, involving turning from sin and seeking mercy. It also defines being restored and outlines biblical principles like turning from sin, turning to God, heartfelt conviction, and fruits of repentance.
Bible study notes discussing acknowledgment of sin, focus on God's grace, and a new direction. It quotes 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 NKJV, differentiating between Godly sorrow (leading to repentance and salvation) and worldly sorrow (producing death), and uses a driving analogy.
Bible study notes continuing the analogy of a dangerous one-way street without Christ. It references the parable of the prodigal son as an example of true repentance and defines Godly sorrow, quoting Psalms 51:4 NKJV to explain sin is primarily against God.

The Lesson, Not the Loss
The Lesson, Not the Loss I heard a spoken word once— about being in love with someone who will never love you back. And it stayed with me. Because if we’re honest… most of us have been there. We’ve all played the fool in somebody else’s story. Seeing the good in them.
