Seasonings of your choice obviously, but those are my preferred favorites for this dish!

If you’re pressed for time or impatient like me, I saved some time by starting with poking holes in the potato with a fork and cooking for 4 minutes in the microwave while the oven preheated to 350 degrees. Once the oven was ready I transferred the potato and cooked for an additional 20 minutes. While that was cooking I whipped up Alfredo sauce from scratch and added my lump crab. Once the potato was finished baking I poured the Alfredo and crab combination on top and dug in! Enjoy!! 😘

... Read moreIf you’re looking to elevate your comfort food game, this Loaded Seafood Alfredo Potato is a fantastic choice that brings together rich flavors and simple ingredients. Using a russet potato as the base provides a soft, fluffy texture that holds up well under the creamy Alfredo sauce and lump crab meat topping. Russet potatoes are ideal for baking because their starchy interior becomes tender and absorbs flavors beautifully. The Alfredo sauce here is made from scratch, utilizing shredded Parmesan cheese and heavy whipping cream, which gives it a smooth, rich consistency. Garlic powder and onion powder add subtle depth, while Tony’s Creole Seasoning introduces a spicy, smoky note that complements the sweetness of the crab without overpowering it. Parsley adds a fresh finish, balancing the rich flavors. For those short on time, the tip of microwaving the potato first is a lifesaver. This step softens the potato inside and reduces baking time, making the dish both quick and convenient. Once in the oven, the potato crisps up slightly on the outside, adding a nice textural contrast. Lump crab meat is a key ingredient that transforms this potato into a seafood delight. Crab is prized for its delicate sweetness and tender texture, which pairs exquisitely with creamy sauces. When mixed into the Alfredo sauce, the crab distributes evenly, ensuring every bite is rich and satisfying. This dish also offers flexibility; you can adjust the seasonings to taste or include additional ingredients like sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for extra heat. It’s an excellent way to impress guests with a gourmet-style meal using straightforward kitchen staples. Finally, the topping of parsley not only adds color but also a mild herby brightness, which cuts through the richness of the cheese and cream. Serving this meal with a side salad or steamed veggies can round out the plate with fresh, crisp elements. Whether you’re based in Nashville or elsewhere, this recipe is easy to follow and uses accessible ingredients. It’s perfect for a cozy night in, special occasions, or whenever you crave a loaded baked potato that’s a bit more adventurous and luxurious.
