9 hobbies to beat SEASONAL DEPRESSION

Lately all I’ve been thinking about is being on a beach front. Unfortunately it’s only the middle of January so instead of wasting all winter day-dreaming of warmer weather- I decided it was time to embrace winter for who she truly is and stop wishing for what she isn’t. Here’s some hobbies I’ve picked up lately, if anyone has tried any of these I would love to hear your experiences! Leave more recommendations for everyone in the comments <3

Engaging in hobbies can serve as effective strategies to alleviate symptoms. 1. **Embrace Creativity:** Whether it's painting, knitting, or crafting, expressing creativity helps in processing emotions and boosts mental well-being. 2. **Cooking Seasonally:** Experiment with seasonal cooking by using winter vegetables to create comforting meals that nourish both body and soul. Recipes featuring root vegetables and hearty grains can be comforting and fulfilling. 3. **Outdoor Activities:** Don't forget to embrace the beauty of winter. Activities like winter hikes or visiting local parks can help combat feelings of isolation and inspire a connection with nature. 4. **Board Game Nights:** Organizing game nights with friends or family can create a sense of community and fun, which is vital during colder months. 5. **Learning Tarot:** Exploring tarot cards not only taps into creativity but also encourages self-reflection, helping individuals understand their thoughts and feelings better. 6. **Volunteering:** Giving back to the community through volunteering can significantly enhance one's mood and sense of purpose. By incorporating these activities into your winter routine, you may find it easier to manage seasonal depression, fostering a more positive mindset during these colder months.
