For instance, I once accidentally shrank a favorite wool sweater in the wash. Instead of discarding it, I soaked it in warm water mixed with a small amount of hair conditioner, then gently stretched it back to size while damp. This method saved not only the sweater but also avoided unnecessary spending on replacements. Another trick I've found invaluable is tossing ice cubes into the dryer alongside wrinkled clothes for a quick steam effect that smooths out wrinkles without ironing. It’s especially great when you're short on time and want your clothes ready to wear fast. For whitening whites and brightening dull towels, mixing hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and Castile soap in the wash worked wonders. It’s an all-natural, cost-effective solution that left my laundry fresh, fluffy, and chemical-free. Adding a cup of vinegar during the rinse cycle acts as a natural fabric softener and helps eliminate odors. Also, drying towels with a dry towel inside the dryer can reduce drying time significantly. For sneaker cleaning, making a paste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and scrubbing gently before rinsing has refreshed my shoes remarkably well. Finally, I recommend using essential oils on wool and adding baking soda to towels for extra softness and freshness. Washing pillows with baking soda and vinegar periodically deep cleans and revitalizes them. These laundry hacks not only saved me money but also kept my clothes in great shape without relying on expensive or harsh chemicals. They’re simple tips anyone can try to make laundry less of a hassle and more eco-friendly.

don’t wash your pillows if they have any kind of down in them whatsoever or it’ll smell unbelievably bad like you’ll have to double bag it and freeze it to even throw it out
