Must-go Japanese noodle place at Tanjong Pagar🄰

Enishi @ International Plaza

A very small spot at International Plaza with limited seats, so come early as there is usually a queue. They serve ramen and dry dan dan noodles. The dashi ramen has a very clear broth with great umami depth, and it comes topped with smoked duck, which is quite unique. The dry dan dan noodle is the highlight for me — you can add vinegar to your liking, and they even give you rice at the end to mix with the leftover sauce. I would go back again whenever I am craving dan dan noodles or even mazesoba.

Their menu may seem simple, but each dish offers unique flavors that keep me coming back. The dashi ramen stands out with its clear yet deeply savory broth, balanced perfectly by the smoked duck topping—a rare twist that adds a smoky richness. What truly won me over is the dry dan dan noodles. The dish encourages you to customize with vinegar, enhancing its spicy and tangy profile. As a bonus, they provide a serving of rice to enjoy with the leftover sauce, transforming your meal into a multi-course delight. I also recommend trying their mazesoba, another dry noodle dish packed with flavors. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or curious about authentic Japanese dry noodles, Enishi offers a memorable dining experience. Keep in mind the intimate setting, and perhaps go with friends to share and savor multiple dishes. This spot has become my go-to for comforting Japanese noodles in the heart of Tanjong Pagar.
