Came back for their SamGyeTang which is their collaboration with Modu since everyone has been talking about it. We tried the DakGomTang ($28) and SamGyeTang ($35). The gomtang had a slightly more pronounced herbal bitterness, while the samgyetang had a deeper, richer chicken broth flavour. The chicken was really plump and stuffed generously with glutinous rice. They offer different samgyetang variations like perilla, spicy, and truffle, but I went with the original Han Bang SamGyeTang which is herbal flavour.
Compared to SamGyeTang in Korea, the herbal and ginseng notes are milder, which might actually suit a more international palate. The onigiri-style rice ball was surprisingly good too — crispy on the outside with tobiko inside. Side dishes were all solid, especially the gat kimchi. The vibe is dark and cosy, and will come back to try their grilled chicken!!
