Are Abs BuiltIn the Kitchen Or the Gym?
What do you think?
I recently saw a quote, “Abs are built in the gym but revealed in the kitchen.” And I think I agree. I need the lifting and core workouts of the gym, but a lot of those workouts won’t show the results we’re so often looking for if we’re eating foods that are making us inflamed or bloated.
Here’s some shots of the diet that’s revealed my abs. It takes a fair amount of clean eating but I’m working towards it!

Achieving visible abs involves a combination of targeted workouts and a clean, balanced diet. While gym workouts like core exercises are essential for building abdominal muscles, nutrition plays a critical role in reducing body fat percentage to unveil those muscles. Research shows that foods rich in whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables not only support muscle recovery but also help manage inflammation and bloating. Avoiding overly processed foods, sugary snacks, and excessive alcohol can further aid in maintaining a flatter stomach. Incorporating regular strength training and cardio exercises with a focus on your diet is key. Consider scheduling meal prep sessions to ensure you have healthy options readily available, and stay hydrated to support overall health and wellness. Tracking your meals and workouts can help you identify what works best for your body, leading to better results in the long run. Remember, the journey to revealing your abs is a personal one; it takes time, dedication, and consistency. Utilize resources like meal plans, workout guides, and community support to stay motivated in your fitness journey.
